What kind of wedding shoes are best for me?
This is the big question when it comes to the wedding shoes - Open toe, closed toe, sandals or flats? There are many shoe styles available for your big day and a few things for you to consider.
At Trousseau we’re taking the hard work out of it by putting together a go-to guide to help you decide on the best shoes for you.
OPEN TOE WEDDING SHOES
An open shoe is the perfect choice for those wanting a bit of breathing space for their feet. It also allows you to show off that pedicure, but more importantly gives you that little extra space for your feet to fill. Open toe shoes can tick many boxes at once - glamorous, stylish and comfortable and are a great option for summer, beach or outdoor weddings. CLICK HERE
PLATFORM WEDDING SHOES
A platform shoe is fabulous when you require assistance in the height region, without sacrificing your own comfort. The platform allows some of the heel height to be absorbed into the design of the shoe. By choosing a platform as your wedding shoe, it will allow for added height without causing additional strain, as it holds your foot at a more comfortable angle allowing you to dance the night away without any worries!
FLAT WEDDING SHOES
Flats are ideal for you if you’re wanting a gorgeous pair of wedding shoes, and don't need additional height! Flats are generally a more comfortable option, allowing you to spend the entire day and night on your feet without causing strain or discomfort. There are some truly stunning flat options out there so you can spend your special day in both style and comfort.
NB - We're currently awaiting the next season's flat sole collection to be released. We do have some fabulous specials on last season's flats- limited sizes available, get in quick. Click here
ROUND TOE WEDDING SHOES
If you’ve got a slightly wider foot and not a fan of having your toes all bunched up then a round toe shoe is the choice for you! Allowing your toes equal room to breathe and with extra space for your feet because of lack of a tapered front this style will make sure your wedding shoes are a comfortable wear.
Choosing a dressy sandal as your wedding shoe is a great choice for those of you wanting to show off a bit more skin or that brand new pedi! Sandals are a forgiving style for a wider foot and the adjustable straps will help secure your feet into place, ready to dance the night away. Sandals will also be worn again and again after the big day. (Last two styles available late Nov 16)
